FC Supporting the Kent Community Wednesday 21 June 2006 South Park Rangers FC, an FA Charter Standard Community & Adult Club helped support Bower Grove School and the Kent County Football Association in the Kent Youth Disability Games for special schools at Sevenoaks School on Wednesday 21 June 2006. The Kent Youth Games have been running for a number of years and are organised by Kent County Council Sports Development Unit. The Kent Youth Games are a Special Needs event to which several Schools from in and around Kent compete in Football, Cycling, Boca, Swimming and Archery. The football section was organised by Paul Dolan from KCFA with help from Liz Symons also of KCFA and supported by South Park Rangers FC. The Club provided a lot of the equipment used on the day and thanks must also go to Mike Littleboy and Dave Lampard who were the Referees. Many of the Bower Grove School team are also members of Maidstone Raiders FC (formerly South Park Raiders FC) and part of South Park Rangers FC. The Raiders are the weekend football Club that will enter the newly formed Kent Junior Disability League in September 2006. The Bower Grove School Team managed to win two games, drew one and lost one but came a very well deserved second in the football competition. Thanks must go to John Harvey and Jackie Parks who managed the team from Bower Grove on the day. Well done to everybody involved in this very successful day. |
