Deal Town 1 - 1 Maidstone United Rascals

After many weeks of trying Stones Ladies finally have something to shout about. They went down to Deal Town in the cold and wet and took a point away from a team that beats them 5 - 1 only three weeks ago.

The visitors gave a debut to their new Hungarian midfield star, Rita Dorombozi, which helped bring a good balance to the team. This meant Michelle Parker moved from midfield to right back right backwhere she had a great game alongside Laura Grant, Charley Mitten and Nicky Knight.

With the defence sorted, the midfield of Cheryl Cloude, Becky Penfold, Rita Dorombozi and Kayleigh Love on the left had an outstanding first half and Man of the Match Natalie Larby and Amy Nichols doing the business up front Maidstone were unlucky not to be ahead at the break.

Deal went in front against the run of play within 15 minutes of the restart after a communication breakdown in the Stones' defence, but the visitors were not to be denied and after bringing on BeckyWood up front and shuffling the formation to boulster the midfield The Stones pressure paid off when Cheryl Cloude took possession on the halfway line and unleashed a fearsome long range effort to claim a point for the visitors and her fisrt goal for the club.

Manager John Harvey said "This it what we have been waiting for, to see the girls smiling after the game it was great. I have now set them a target of 7 points by the end of this year. I think they're now all going to the Pub for a drink"
