On a cold day in Deal Maidstone took the initiative with some early attacks with Declan Murphy and Jack Clover causing the Dover Defence problems.The midfield of Tom Welch,Dan Jenner,George Wellard and Craig Parris worked hard to keep the pressure on and after 10 minutes Jack Clover latched onto a pass and ran through slotting the ball into the corner of the net to make it 1-0.

Dover then came back and made the defence of Nick Cunningham,Stephen Price,Elliot Short and Ross Hanlon work hard to retain the lead.Tommy Beadle was solid in goal and made some good saves.

It was stalemate until half time with no team making any further real chances apart from a great Craig Parris shot against the bar.

Into the second half and many midfield tussles followed.Dover somtimes looked dangerous down the flanks and had some chances.

Subs Andrew Bevan.Kaz,Elliot, Josh Woolley and Elliot Black all came on and contributed well to help Maidstone retain their 1-0 lead and make some more chances.

There were a few scares from Dover through balls but Maidstone edged the tie and ran out 1-0 winners.
